Frk scores in OT as Mooseheads rally to beat Huskies 5-4, take 2-0 series lead

HALIFAX - Martin Frk scored in overtime as the Halifax Mooseheads edged the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-4 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action Sunday.

Frk's power-play goal 7:12 into OT completed the comeback for Halifax, which took a 2-0 series lead.

Frk also scored in regulation for the Mooseheads, who also got goals from Andrew Ryan, Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin.

Jean-Sebastien Dea, Marcus Power, Maxime St-Cyr and Sven Andrighetto scored for the Huskies.

Drouin opened the scoring with a short-handed goal just 1:09 into regulation, but Power tied the game just over two minutes later.

All four Rouyn-Noranda goals came in the first period and the Huskies led 4-2 until the third when Halifax stormed back. MacKinnon scored on the power play at 2:58 and Ryan sent the game to extra time with a goal at 13:19.

Mooseheads goaltender Zachary Fucale made 20 saves, while at the other end Alexandre Belanger stopped 30 shots.

The Huskies will host Game 3 Tuesday at the Arena Iamgold.
