Yann Danis perfect in Barons 1-0 win over Heat; Toni Rajala has only goal

OKLAHOMA CITY - Yann Danis made 24 saves as the Oklahoma City Barons shut out the Abbotsford Heat 1-0 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Left-winger Toni Rajala was the only scorer for Oklahoma City (38-25-11), the AHL farm team of the Edmonton Oilers.

Barry Brust stopped 30 shots for Abbotsford (34-31-10).

The Barons couldn't score on their two power-play opportunities, while the Heat went 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

Rajala broke a scoreless tie 13:21 into the third period on assists from Jonathan Cheechoo and Mark Arcobello.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
