The 33-year-old was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Red Wings in 2001 and was claimed off waivers by the Flames on Feb. 11 after stints with the Red Wings, Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leafs and Anaheim Ducks.
