CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled goalie Carter Hutton from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

The team announced the move on Thursday.

The 27-year-old Hutton has a 26-22-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.72 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 51 games this season with Rockford. He signed with the Blackhawks as a free agent on Feb. 24, 2012.

It means a lot to us, we're very excited. We're looking to continue to build on [our] top core talent of young players. It's just a great opportunity for us to really build high.
