CALGARY - Swift Current Broncos forward Adam Lowry was named Eastern Conference finalist for the Western Hockey League player of the year award Wednesday.
Lowry appeared in all 72 games for the Broncos this season. He scored a team-leading 45 goals and added 43 assists to go with a plus-18 rating and 102 penalty minutes.
The Western Conference finalist will be named Thursday. The award winner will be named at the 2013 WHL Awards Luncheon in Calgary on May 1.
The conference finalists are determined through voting by general managers, coaches, broadcast and media representatives of all WHL teams.
