Canucks defenseman Bieksa scratched with injury
Canucks coach Alain Vigneault confirmed before the game that righty-shooting defenseman Kevin Bieksa won't play due to a lower-body injury

The Vancouver Canucks will be going with an all lefty-shooting defense corps against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night.

Canucks coach Alain Vigneault confirmed before the game that righty-shooting defenseman Kevin Bieksa won't play due to a lower-body injury suffered during a 5-2 win against the Nashville Predators on Monday night.

The Canucks are already without their only other right-handed defenseman, Chris Tanev; he has missed Vancouver's past four games and is out indefinitely due to an ankle injury.

Cam Barker replaced Bieksa in the lineup, meaning the Canucks will be going with six lefty-shooting defensemen, three of whom will have to play the right side.

Bieksa missed seven games earlier this season with a groin injury, but Vigneault said this injury is not related to that one. He gave no indication when Bieksa might play again.
