Stars' Chiasson leaves with injury
Stars rookie Alex Chiasson left Monday’s game against the Blackhawks in the second period with an upper-body injury and is questionable to return.

CHICAGODallas Stars rookie forward Alex Chiasson left Monday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center early in the second period with an upper-body injury and the team said his return is questionable.

Chiasson, who plays right wing on the Stars' top line, took a hit from Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson at 1:03 of the middle period. Chiasson scored six goals and added an assist in the first six games of his NHL career since being recalled on April 2 by Dallas from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

Chiasson is the first player in franchise history to score six goals in his first six games with the team; he is the first NHL player to do it since Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin scored seven times in his first six games during the 2006-07 season.

Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
