Phoenix Coyotes sign forward Tobias Rieder to 3-year, entry level deal; Obtained from Oilers

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have signed forward Tobias Rieder a three-year, entry-level contract.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney announced the signing Monday.

Rieder was acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in a March 29 trade for forward Kale Kessy.

The 20-year-old Rieder was a fourth-round draft pick of Edmonton in 2011.

Rieder had 27 goals and 29 assists in 52 games this season for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League.

He led the team in points and ranked second in goals and assists.
