Blackhawks agree to terms with Drew LeBlanc
The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with forward Drew LeBlanc on a one-year contract.

It turned out to be quite a day for Drew LeBlanc.

Hours after LeBlanc was named as the Hobey Baker Award winner Friday, the Chicago Blackhawks announced they have agreed to terms with the St. Cloud State forward on a one-year contract.

The 23-year-old had 13 goals and a nation-leading 37 assists this season for St. Cloud State, which for the first time reached the NCAA Frozen Four, where it lost to Quinnipiac on Thursday.

In 171 collegiate games, LeBlanc had 147 points (42 goals). The native of Hermantown, Minn., also played 78 games for the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League from 2006-08.

LeBlanc (6-foot, 195 pounds) will report to the Blackhawks and wear No. 14.
