Predators trio all require season-ending surgery
Nashville Predators forwards Gabriel Bourque, Paul Gaustad and Colin Wilson will all miss the rest of the 2012-13 season due to surgeries, the team announced Thursday.

Nashville Predators forwards Gabriel Bourque, Paul Gaustad and Colin Wilson will miss the rest of the 2012-13 season due to individual surgeries, the team announced Thursday.

All three are expected to be ready for training camp in September.

According to Predators beat reporter Josh Cooper of The Tennessean, general manager David Poile said Gaustad and Wilson each require shoulder surgery that is expected to sideline them for four months.

Bourque has been sidelined with what's reported as a knee injury.

Nashville entered Thursday with the NHL's 29th-ranked offense at 2.29 goals per game and sits 13th in the Western Conference, five points behind the Detroit Red Wings for a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Quote of the Day

That's today's game. That's one of the things you have to deal with when you're a championship team. Guys are going to earn more money based on their performance and what they've achieved, [and] deservedly so. [Saad] falls into that category.
