SUDBURY, Ont. - Malcolm Subban made 28 saves as the visiting Belleville Bulls blanked the Sudbury Wolves 4-0 on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.
Brendan Gaunce had two goals and an assist for the Bulls, who lead the best-of-seven second-round matchup 3-0, while Tyler Graovac and Joseph Cramarossa also scored.
Ray Huether was a team-worst minus-3 for the Wolves, who have been outscored 14-5 in the series, and Frank Palazzese stopped 28-of-32 shots in defeat.
Graovac deposited a rebound over a sprawled Palazzese to open the scoring at 15:02 in the first period and Cramarossa increased the lead 40 seconds later as he converted in the slot on a pass from Alan Quine.
Gaunce made it 3-0 when he slid the puck through Palazzese's five-hole on a breakaway at 10:15 in the third period.
Gaunce scored another at 12:37 after he unloaded a wrist shot into the top-left corner.
Both teams went 0 for 4 on the power play.
Belleville has a chance to eliminate Sudbury on Thurdsay when the Wolves host Game 4 at the Sudbury Community Arena. The winner of the series will meet the Barrie Colts in the Eastern Conference Final.
