Neal to miss Penguins' road trip with concussion
The Pittsburgh Penguins have been dealt another blow with Monday's announcement that forward James Neal has a concussion and will miss the team's upcoming three-game road trip.

Already without Sidney Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins have been dealt another blow with Monday's announcement that forward James Neal has a concussion and will miss the team's upcoming three-game road trip.

Neal has 18 goals and 32 points in 39 games this season, though he's been quiet over the past three weeks with just one goal and two assists over a 12-game span.

The Penguins play at the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday and the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Defenseman Kris Letang practiced with the team Monday but said there was no timetable for his return to the lineup. He's missed the past five games with a lower-body injury.

"I don’t know, it'll be up to the coach," Letang said when asked about a return date. "There's no rush to get back, but at the same time it's a short season. I want to start playing, being healthy and ready to go for the playoffs. We'll see how I feel [Tuesday] and go from there."

Crosby, who is recovering from a broken jaw suffered when a puck deflected into his face during a March 30 game against the New York Islanders, addressed the injury on Monday in quotes released by the Penguins via their official Twitter account.

"I didn't see the puck at all," Crosby said. "Felt it. Kind of a weird bounce. It's gotten better and I feel better."
