Petteri Nokelainen scores his first of the season as Bulldogs beat Rampage 4-2

SAN ANTONIO - The Hamilton Bulldogs scored the first two, and the last two goals, in a 4-2 victory over the San Antonio Rampage on Friday in a matchup of AHL division cellar dwellers.

Petteri Nokelainen and Patrick Holland scored for Hamilton (27-35-1-5) in the first period. Nokelainen's goal was his first of the year.

San Antonio (29-32-2-6) tied the game with goals within the first four minutes of the second period. Greg Rallo scored his 23rd goal of the season 49 seconds into the period, and Colby Robak tied the game with a power play goal at 3:52.

Hamilton's Alex Belzile scored the winner at 11:40 of the second period, and Nathan Beaulieu put the game out of reach at 18:15 of the third with a short-handed goal that pinballed in several directions before trickling behinds Rampage goalie Brian Foster.

Robert Mayer made 36 saves for the Bulldogs, while Foster made 34 stops for San Antonio.

San Antonio finished the game 1 for 5 on the power play.

Hamilton was 0 for 8 with the man advantage.
