Torres, 31, has five goals and 12 points in 28 games this season for the Coyotes. He was suspended at the start of the season because of a hit against Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa during the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Torres had at least 14 goals and 26 points in each of the three previous seasons.
For his career, Torres has 132 goals and 249 points in 619 NHL games.
It was definitely emotional. I really appreciated the fans. It was a cool feeling and it felt special and the ovation there at the start and then you kind of feel funny out there standing by yourself.
