BUFFALO -- Ville Leino is day-to-day for the Buffalo Sabres with an upper-body injury and will not play against the Boston Bruins at First Niagara Center on Sunday.

Leino did not partake in the pregame skate and the Sabres confirmed after warmups that he is dealing with an injury that will keep him out of the game.

After a team meeting Sunday morning, Sabres interim coach Ron Rolston noted that enforcer John Scott would be back in the lineup, but would not confirm the team's scratch. Leading scorer Thomas Vanek is also out with an upper-body injury.

Quote of the Day

It's pretty crazy, but believe me when I say we didn't draft these players with the mindset we had to because they had good hockey-playing dads. It just turned out that way. But we're certainly glad they're a part of our organization.

— Arizona Coyotes director of amateur scouting Tim Bernhardt regarding the coincidence that six of the organization's top prospects are sons of former NHL players
