Smith with four points as Attack take 3-2 series lead

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Gemel Smith had two goals and two assists as the Owen Sound Attack downed the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

The victory gives Owen Sound a 3-2 series lead in the best-of-seven first-round matchup.

Daniel Catenacci also scored twice for the Attack while Cody Ceci chipped in with two assists.

Gilbert Gabor scored his first-career playoff goal to round out Owen Sound's offence.

Ryan Sproul, Sergey Tolchinsky and Michael Schumacher scored for the Greyhounds and Nick Cousins assisted on each of his club's three goals.

Jordan Binnington made 24 saves for the win as Matt Murray turned away 35-of-40 shots in defeat.

Owen Sound went 0 for 4 on the power play while Sault Ste. Marie scored twice on seven chances with the man advantage.

The Attack have a chance to win the series on Sunday when the two clubs head to Sault Ste. Marie for Game 6.
