ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Scott Laughton continued his torrid playoff scoring pace with two goals and two assists as the Oshawa Generals defeated the Niagara IceDogs 4-1 on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Laughton now has five goals and 11 points, in just four games, as the Generals lead the best-of-seven series 3-1. Game 5 is in Oshawa, Ont., on Friday.

Bradley Latour and former IceDog Matt Petgrave into an empty-net rounded out the Oshawa scoring. Daniel Altshuller made 28 saves in the win as the IceDogs outshot the Generals 29-27.

Anthony DiFruscia had the lone Niagara goal. Chris Festarini turned aside 23 shots for the IceDogs.

Oshawa finished the game 0 for 4 on the power play. Niagara was 0 for 6.

Playing for my favorite team growing up, I've probably scored that goal a million times in my driveway. It feels good to actually do it in real life.
