Elson scores twice as Rebels beat Raiders 3-1 for 3-0 first-round series lead

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Turner Elson scored twice and Patrik Bartosak made 29 saves on 30 shots as the Red Deer Rebels defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1 on Tuesday to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven WHL first-round series.

Brooks Maxwell also scored for the Rebels, who will try for the sweep on Wednesday in Prince Albert.

Mike Winther had the lone goal for the Raiders, who went 0-for-3 on the power play.

Luke Siemens made 23 saves for Prince Albert.
