Calgary takes 3-1 series lead against Swift Current with 1-0 overtime victory

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Victor Rask scored 37 seconds into overtime and Chris Driedger stopped all 28 shots he faced to lift the Calgary Hitmen to a 1-0 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday.

The win gives Calgary a commanding 3-1 lead with the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series, with Game 5 set for Thursday in Calgary and Game 6, if needed, in Swift Current on Saturday.

It was the third game in the series decided in overtime. Calgary won Game 1 in OT while Swift Current took Game 3 in extra time.

Both teams finished 0-for-2 on the man-advantage.

Eetu Laurikainen made 26 saves for the Broncos.

Quote of the Day

Hopefully [Jonathan] has a year that pushes us, that is the organization, to speak to him next summer and looking for [a long-term contract]. Because the thought process is trying to get a goaltender, and hopefully it's Jonathan, to be the stabilizer for this franchise.

— Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello on goaltender Jonathan Bernier
