Pens welcome Brocklebank to skate, game Sunday
The Penguins invited 13-year-old Noah Brocklebank to visit them at their morning skate and their game against the Flyers Sunday.

While the Pittsburgh Penguins took time to prepare for an always-critical matchup against the in-state rival Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN), they also took time to acknowledge that some things are more important than hockey when they invited 13-year-old Noah Brocklebank to attend their morning skate as well as their game Sunday night at Consol Energy Center.

Brocklebank, a 13-year-old Penguins fan from Columbia, Md., received world-wide media attention recently after publicly announcing a suicide attempt on social media as a result of his experiences with bullying.

After posting a message that he was planning to commit suicide on his 13th birthday, Brocklebank was greeted with encouraging messages from thousands of strangers from several countries and became the subject of a report on CBS News. In the report he wore a Penguins shirt with Marc-Andre Fleury's name and number on it. When the Penguins became aware that Brocklebank was wearing a Pens shirt, the team sent him a taped message from Fleury, Tomas Vokoun, Kris Letang and Matt Cooke, inviting him to visit the Penguins at their morning skate and meet the players afterward.

"It's just amazing," Brocklebank told the Penguins' website. "Just meeting everyone, it's a really amazing experience."
