Hawks' Hossa doubtful for Monday vs. Kings
Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Sunday that the team likely will be without forward Marian Hossa when it faces the Kings on Monday.

Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Sunday that the team likely will be without forward Marian Hossa when it faces the Los Angeles Kings on Monday (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN, TSN2).

Hossa, who sat out the team's game Wednesday at the Anaheim Ducks due to an upper-body injury, did not take part in practice Sunday. Michael Frolik skated in Hossa's regular spot at right wing on the Hawks' top line, with center Jonathan Toews and left wing Brandon Saad.

In addition, the Hawks also could be without forward Andrew Shaw on Monday. Shaw skipped practice Sunday due to the flu.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
