Steven Stamkos scored the 200th goal of his NHL career when he hit the empty net to cap Tampa Bay's 4-2 victory against Philadelphia on Monday night.

Steven Stamkos scored the 200th goal of his NHL career when he hit the empty net to cap Tampa Bay's 4-2 victory against Philadelphia on Monday night.

Stamkos, the Rocket Richard Trophy winner last season with 60 goals, hit the empty net with 3.0 seconds remaining for his League-leading 21st goal of the season in the Lightning's 29th game. The milestone goal came in the 354th NHL game for the first player selected in the 2008 NHL Draft.

He has 51, 45 and 60 goals in the past three seasons after scoring 23 times as a rookie. At 23 years and 41 days, Stamkos is the fourth-youngest player to reach 200 goals, The only ones to do it faster are Wayne Gretzky (21 years, 256 days), Mario Lemieux (22 years, 148 days) and Dale Hawerchuk (22 years, 266 days).
