Scarlett with goal and assist as Broncos win fourth straight

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Reece Scarlett had a goal and an assist as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the visiting Regina Pats 6-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Colby Cave, Ryon Moser, Chance Lund, Tanner LeSann and Levi Bews also scored for the Broncos (36-29-7), who won their fourth game in a row and secured the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.

Lane Scheidl and Darian Henry scored for the Pats (25-38-9), who are winless in four contests and finish the season seven points out of a playoff position.

Eetu Laurikainen made 15 saves for the win as Teagan Sacher stopped 26 shots in defeat.

Swift Current went 1 for 5 on the power play while Regina failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
