Blue Jackets activate D John Moore, reassign D Cody Goloubef, call up F Sean Collins from AHL

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenceman John Moore off injured reserve after he missed eight games with a shoulder injury, and assigned defenceman Cody Goloubef to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

The 22-year-old Moore has two goals and six assists in 82 career games with the Blue Jackets. The former first-rounder, 21st overall in the 2009 draft, has one assist in 13 games this season.

The 23-year-old Goloubef has appeared in 10 games with Columbus this season, scoring his first and only NHL goal on Feb. 11 vs. San Jose. The Blue Jackets' second pick, 37th overall, in the 2009 draft, Goloubef has five goals and seven assists in 25 AHL games this season.

Quote of the Day

He's a winner. We want winners here, and he's a proven winner. He's won two Stanley Cups. He's 22 years old and been a big part of it. He's got all the right tools. He's got size (6-foot-1, 204 pounds) and strength. He's exactly what we were looking for. He's going to be a big piece of our team for many, many years to come.
