Vancouver Canucks recall forward Steve Pinizzotto from AHL's Chicago

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Steve Pinizzotto from the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves.

Pinizzotto has tallied four goals, eight assists and 29 penalty minutes in 24 games with the Wolves this season.

The 28-year-old forward missed the entire 2011-12 season due to an injury he suffered in a pre-season game.

The Mississauga, Ont., native has 38 goals, 72 assists, 110 points, and 408 penalty minutes in 234 career games Chicago and the Hershey Bears.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
