CALGARY - Cody Sylvester and Victor Rask had a goal and two assists each as the Calgary Hitmen dumped the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-3 on Tuesday for their fifth straight Western Hockey League victory.

Greg Chase, Jake Virtanen, Chase Clayton and Calder Brooks got the other Calgary goals.

Logan McVeigh, with a pair, and Hunter Shinkaruk scored for the Tigers. Shinkaruk assisted on both McVeigh goals.

Chris Driedger stopped 21 of 24 shots for Calgary. Medicine Hat lifted starting goalie Cam Lanigan at 13:06 of the second after Clayton scored Calgary’s third goal on 13 shots. He was replaced by Marek Langhamer, who stopped 3 of 11 shots.

The Hitmen were 1-for-3 on the power play while the Tigers were 0-for-3. Sylvester’s goal, his 39th of the season, was shorthanded.

Medicine Hat’s Boston Leier missed the net on a penalty shot in the final minute of the game.

Quote of the Day

He is, in my opinion, one of the best defensemen in the NHL and continuing to grow. I think his game, from an offensive standpoint, he continues to drive our offense... I think there's still tremendous upside for Oliver.
