Anaheim Ducks trade Dan Sexton to Lightning for Kyle Wilson in swap of minor league forwards

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have acquired centre Kyle Wilson from Tampa Bay in exchange for right wing Dan Sexton.

The clubs announced the swap of minor league forwards Monday.

Wilson has played in 39 NHL games and has five points in 22 AHL games this season with Syracuse. The Lightning acquired the two-time Calder Cup champion from Nashville last summer.

Sexton has 16 points in 27 games with the Ducks' AHL affiliate in Norfolk this season. He signed with Anaheim in 2009, and has played in 88 NHL games.

Quote of the Day

I had one really not-good game. I came back to the hotel and he [his father] was on Skype. My mother called first and said, 'Your father wants to talk to you.' So he moved my mother away, and he yelled at me for like 30 seconds. I understood him, and then he said, 'I'm done.' And he was gone. The next game I got my first shutout.
