MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Mathias Niederberger earned his fourth shutout of the season as the Barrie Colts blanked the host Mississauga Steelheads 2-0 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

The 20-year-old goaltender made 36 saves, including 21 in the opening period, and in his last three starts has stopped 102-of-104 shots.

Tyson Fawcett scored in the second period for the Colts (39-19-4), who have won three games in a row, while Anthony Camara added an empty-net goal in the final minute of regulation.

Tyson Teichmann made 28 saves for the Steelheads (25-30-5), who are riding a three-game winless streak.

Barrie went 0 for 3 on the power play while Mississauga finished 0 for 4.

I've been getting frustrated lately, and the only thing keeping me sane was the team winning and other people stepping up and scoring. Then you just kind of let it go and realize you can end the series with one shot, that frustration goes away for a brief moment, and that's what happened.
