Brenden Kichton scores two goals to lead Chiefs over Silvertips 4-1

EVERETT, Wash. - Brenden Kichton scored two goals to lead the Spokane Chiefs over the Everett Silvertips 4-1 on Wednesday night in WHL action.

Carter Proft and Todd Fiddler also scored for Spokane (37-24-2), which won its third straight. Garret Hughson played a strong game in goal for the Chiefs, making 25 saves.

Ryan Harrison scored the lone goal for Everett (22-36-5). Austin Lotz made 25 saves in net for the Silvertips.

Kichton's first goal broke a 1-1 tie with Spokane on the power play late in the first period. Everett appeared to get a period-ending clear, however, Blake Gal corralled a rebound and fed Kichton with 0.5 second remaining in the period, giving Spokane the lead for good.

Quote of the Day

Because of the way they play and their skill set I don't think they're fourth-line players, so in my mind I'm looking at one of those guys I'll have to move over to the wing.
