Festarini 34 saves, Ritchie two goals as the IceDogs end winless streak

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Chris Festarini made 34 saves as the Niagara IceDogs defeated the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 4-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Festarini was at his best when he turned away all 17 shots he faced in the third period.

Brett Ritchie scored twice for the IceDogs (27-29-4), who halted a four-game winless streak, while Ondrej Kopta and Jesse Graham each scored once.

Henri Ikonen scored the lone goal for the Frontenacs (23-29-5) and Mike Morrison turned away 27 shots in a losing cause.

Niagara went 1 for 2 on the power play while Kingston failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
