Kahun, Pancel each score twice as the Wolves down the Colts

SUDBURY, Ont. - Dominik Kahun and Nathan Pancel each scored twice as the Sudbury Wolves downed the visiting Barrie Colts 5-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Danny Desrochers had a goal and an assist for the Wolves (26-21-11), who halted a three-game slide, while Dominik Kubalik chipped in with two assists.

Andreas Athanasiou had two goals and an assist for the Colts (36-19-4), who are winless in four games, and Zach Hall had a goal and an assist.

Franky Palazzese made 26 saves for the win as Alex Fotinos took the loss after allowing one goal on 12 shots in 37 minutes of relief. Fotinos replaced starter Mathias Niederberger, who allowed three goals on 14 shots.

Both clubs went 1 for 3 on the power play.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
