Broadhurst scores OT winner as the Knights edge the greyhounds

LONDON, Ont. - Alex Broadhurst tipped in a long point shot 2:38 into overtime Friday as the London Knights beat the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Scott Harrington had a goal and an assist for the Knights (42-12-4), who won their third game in a row, while Nikita Zadorov and Chris Tierney added a goal apiece.

Andrew Fritsch, Michael Schumacher and Sergey Tolchinksy scored for the Greyhounds (32-21-5), who had their three-game win streak halted.

Sault Ste. Marie played half the game without OHL leading scorer Nick Cousins after he was ejected at 10:20 of the second period for checking from behind.

Anthony Stolarz stopped 29 shots for the win as Matt Murray made 36 saves in a losing cause.

London went 0 for 3 on the power play while Sault Ste. Marie scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

It's pretty crazy, but believe me when I say we didn't draft these players with the mindset we had to because they had good hockey-playing dads. It just turned out that way. But we're certainly glad they're a part of our organization.
