"Thank you for all your prayers. Made home, felling better," Anisimov posted on his Twitter account.
Anisimov was hit by Detroit defenseman Kyle Quincey 3:48 into the second period of Thursday night's game, hit his head on the ice and did not get up. He was strapped to a stretcher and his head and neck were immobilized before he was wheeled off.
Anisimov was skating toward the back of the net alongside Detroit's Ian White when he lost his balance. Quincey landed a blow to Anisimov's head with his left fist or forearm that did not appear to be intentional.
The Blue Jackets said Anisimov never lost consciousness but was taken to a hospital as a precaution for further evaluation.
No penalty was called on the play. Quincey left the bench and went to the dressing room with a left leg injury. He did not return.
Anisimov was returning to the lineup after injuring his foot while blocking a shot last Friday and missing two games. He has four goals and six points in 14 games this season.
