Hossa, Seabrook and others expected back for Blackhawks vs Sharks

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks will have a full lineup Friday night when they host the San Jose Sharks and try to set an NHL record for the longest point streak from the start of a season.

The Blackhawks (13-0-3) have tied the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks' mark of points in 16 straight games.

Coach Joel Quenneville says defenceman Brent Seabrook and forward Daniel Carcillo also are expected to play. Goalie Corey Crawford, who has sat out three games with an undisclosed upper-body injury, is available to back up Ray Emery.

Marian Hossa will be back after being hit in the back of the head by Vancouver forward Jannik Hansen on Tuesday. Hansen was suspended for a game by the NHL. Seabrook missed Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and Carcillo has sat out 15 games since suffering a knee injury in the season opener.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
