QMJHL Roundup: P.E.I. Rocket down Drummondville Voltigeurs 7-5

CHARLOTTETOWN - Louick Marcotte had two goals and an assist Thursday as the P.E.I. Rocket defeated the Drummondville Voltigeurs 7-5 in the lone game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Ben Duffy, Josh Currie and Yan Pavel Laplante added a goal and an assist each for the Rocket (33-22-2), while Victor Provencher and Matej Beran also scored.

Antoine Bibeau got the start for P.E.I. and gave up four goals on 25 shots. Maxime Lagace came in after the fourth Drummondville goal and stopped 7-of-8 shots the rest of the way.

Matthew Boudens scored twice for the Voltigeurs (31-22-4), while Olivier Archambault had a goal and two assists.

Jeremie Malouin added a goal and an assist for Drummondville and Jerome Verrier also scored.

Louis-Philip Guindon allowed five goals on 24 shots before getting the hook in favour of Domenic Graham, who stopped 3-of-4 shots in relief.
