Dana Tyrell scores late tying goal for Syracuse in 4-3 shootout win over Toronto

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Dana Tyrell scored a late goal to force extra time and the Syracuse Crunch went on to beat the Toronto Marlies 4-3 in a shootout in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

Tyrell beat Marlies goaltender Mark Owuya at 18:26 in the third before Ondrej Palat, Brett Connolly and Radko Gudas each scored in the shootout.

Mike Angelidis and Palat added a goal each in regulation for the Crunch (31-14-6).

Joe Colbourne scored twice for the Marlies (26-17-6) and once in the shootout, while Ryan Hamilton had Toronto's other goal in regulation.

Riku Helenius made 28 saves for Syracuse, while Owuya stopped 32 shots.
