Oshawa Generals score three late goals in 6-2 win over Sudbury Wolves

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Oshawa Generals scored three third-period goals in less than a minute en route to a 6-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves in OHL action Monday afternoon.

Defenceman Geoffrey Schemitsch capped Oshawa's three-goal explosion late in the third and had a short-handed marker in the first period. Boone Jenner had four assists while Matt Petgrave, Michael Dal Colle, Lucas Lessio and Scott Sabourin also scored for Oshawa.

Oshawa led 2-0 after the first period, but Sudbury goals by Danny Desrochers and Nathan Pancel evened the score 2-2 after two periods.

Franky Palazzese faced 44 shots in the Sudbury goal while Oshawa's Daniel Altshuller face 18.

Oshawa improved to 33-20-1-3, good enough for third place overall in the Eastern Conference, while Sudbury dropped their third straight game and sit fifth at 25-21-4-7.
