Rookies Roland McKeown and Sam Bennett lead Frontenacs past Steelheads.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Rookies Roland McKeown and Sam Bennett had a goal and two assists each to lead the Kingston Frontenacs past the Mississauga Steelheads 7-4 in OHL action Monday afternoon.

Michael Moffat had two goals for Kingston (23-28-2-3), which moved to within two points of seventh-place Mississauga (24-27-0-5) in the Eastern Conference standings. Mikko Vainonen, Spencer Watson and Dylan DiPerna had the other goals while Henri Ikonen added four assists.

Kristoff Kontos had a goal and an assist for Mississauga, which has lost four straight. Dylan Smoskowitz, Andrew Goldberg and Sam Babintsev also scored.

Colin Furlong stopped 19 shots for the Frontenacs.

Mississauga's Spencer Martin stopped seven-of-nine shots he faced in the first period before being replaced by Tyson Teichmann, who allowed five goals on 20 shots.
