Begin, Stajan, Horak score in 3rd to rally Flames to 4-3 victory over Stars

DALLAS - Steve Begin, Matt Stajan and Roman Horak each scored their first goals of the season in the third period and the Calgary Flames overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat the Dallas Stars 4-3 Sunday.

Begin snapped a 3-3 tie with 9:30 remaining.

It was the Flames' second victory over the Stars in five days, having won 7-4 in Calgary on Wednesday.

Michael Cammalleri also scored for Calgary, while Joey MacDonald made 27 saves for his first win in his first start and second appearance overall for the Flames since he was claimed off waivers from Detroit on Feb. 11.

Cody Eakin, Reilly Smith and Ryan Garbutt scored second-period goals for Dallas, while Richard Bachman stopped 22 shots four days after he gave up six goals on 22 shots in Calgary.

Quote of the Day

It's really exciting. I'm pretty sure that when I play my first game I'm going to be emotional. To be back on the ice playing a game, being in game situations, with all the routines and rituals I do before games and during the game, I feel like I'm going to be emotional. I'm going to be really happy.
