Chris Brown scores twice as Portland Pirates hammer St. John's IceCaps 6-1

LEWISTON, Maine - Chris Brown scored twice Sunday as the Portland Pirates hammered the St. John's IceCaps 6-1 in the American Hockey League.

Alexandre Bolduc, Brendan Shinnimin and Evan Brophey each added a goal and an assist for Portland (30-18-2), while Phil Lane also scored.

Michael Stone added three assists for the Pirates and Mathieu Brodeur chipped in with two of his own.

Mike Lee made 32 saves to get the win.

Jason Gregoire had the only goal for St. John's (22-28-3), which got 30 saves from Chris Carrozzi.
