Vienneau makes 20 saves as the Rangers double up the Otters

ERIE, Pa. - Joel Vienneau made 20 saves as the Kitchener Rangers doubled up the host Erie Otters 4-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Joshua Leivo, Matt Puempel, Brent Pedersen and Ben Thomson scored for the Rangers (33-15-8), who have picked up at least one point in 10 of their last 11 contests.

Hayden Hodgson and Connor Brown scored for the Otters (17-32-8), who have just two wins in their last 10 games, and Devin Williams stopped 44-of-47 shots in defeat.

Kitchener went 1 for 2 on the power play and stayed disciplined the entire 60 minutes as they did not take one penalty all game.

Quote of the Day

That was something I've been dreaming of, something I've told myself before the third period I was going to do ... It was an amazing feeling. It's hard to describe. I didn't believe it went in at first but when I saw all the reaction and all the fans going crazy and my teammates going crazy, it's just an unbelievable feeling. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know whether to jump or just skate and do a Theo Fleury. I don't think I'm the same caliber player he is so I couldn't do it.
