EVERETT, Wash. - Alessio Bertaggia scored twice in his first game back from injury as the Spokane Chiefs doubled up the host Everett Silvertips 6-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Bertaggia, who had played just two games for Spokane since arriving at the trade deadline because of an upper-body injury, scored a first-period goal and added an empty-net goal.
Cole Wedman, Mitch Holmberg, Dylan Walchuk and Mikulas Rimmel also scored for the Chiefs (34-22-2) and Eric Williams made 24 saves to earn the win.
Kohl Bauml scored twice for the Silvertips (21-33-5), who lost their ninth game in a row, and Manraj Hayer scored the other.
Daniel Cotton finished with 33 saves in a losing cause.
Both clubs went 1 for 3 on the power play.
