REGINA - Eetu Laurikainen made 28 saves as the Swift Current Broncos downed the host Regina Pats 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Adam Lowry and Levi Bews scored for the Broncos (28-25-6), who won for the first time in three outings.

Chandler Stephenson scored the lone goal for the Pats (20-32-6), who have just two victories in their last 11 games, and Teagan Sacher turned away 38 shots in a losing cause.

Swift Current went 0 for 2 on the power play while Regina scored once on two chances with the man advantage.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
