Altshuller makes 33 saves as the Generals double up the Greyhounds

OSHAWA, Ont. - Daniel Altshuller made 33 saves to earn his league-leading 29th victory of the season as the Oshawa Generals doubled up the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-2 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Colin Suellentrop had a goal and an assist for the Generals (31-19-4), who are now just two points behind the Belleville Bulls for first in the East Division, while Michael Dal Colle, Brian Hughes and Boone Jenner added a goal apiece.

Nick Cousins and Brandon Alderson scored for the Greyhounds (29-21-4) and Matt Murray turned aside 27-of-30 shots in a losing cause.

Oshawa went 2 for 5 on the power play while Sault Ste. Marie scored once on five chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.

— U.S. National Junior Team coach Ron Wilson on Auston Matthews, the projected No. 1 pick of the 2016 NHL Draft
