KINGSTON, Ont. - The Kingston Frontenacs halted their 12-game winless streak on Sunday by defeating the visiting Windsor Spitfires 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League play.

Slater Doggett, Warren Steele and Billy Jenkins scored for the Frontenacs (21-26-5), who were 0-9-3 in their last 12 games.

Kerby Rychel scored the lone goal for the Spitfires (22-25-7), who have dropped back-to-back contests.

Mike Morrison stopped 34-of-35 shots for the win as Jaroslav Pavelka made 35 saves in a losing cause.

Both clubs went 0 for 4 on the power play.

Despite their last victory coming back on Jan. 6th, the Frontenacs still hold the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference while the Spitfires sit ninth in the Western Conference, seven points behind the eighth-place Saginaw Spirit.
