OTTAWA - Sean Monahan scored three times and added an assist as the Ottawa 67's defeated the visiting Windsor Spitfires 8-5 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Joseph Blandisi, Brett Gustavsen and Brendan Bell each had a goal and two assists for the 67's (15-34-4) while Dante Salituro had a goal and an assist.
Daniel Walsh scored a single goal to round out Ottawa's offence.
Kerby Rychel and Alexander Khokhlachev both had a goal and two assists for the Spitfires (22-24-7) and Josh Ho-Sang and Remy Giftopoulos had a goal and an assist apiece.
Brady Vail also scored for Windsor.
Clint Windsor made 39 saves for the win as Jordan DeKort took the loss after giving up four goals on 36 shots in 54 minutes of action. DeKort replaced starter Jaroslav Pavelka early in the first period after Pavelka let in three goals on five shots.
Ottawa went 1 for 3 on the power play while Windsor scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.
