SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Darren Dietz scored twice and added an assist as the Saskatoon Blades downed the host Swift Current Broncos 4-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Josh Nicholls and Collin Valcourt also scored for the Blades (30-21-3), who extended their winning streak to seven games.
Levi Bews scored the lone goal for the Chiefs (31-21-2), who have just three wins in their last 11 contests.
Andrey Makarov stopped 39-of-40 shots for the win as Eetu Laurikainen made 33 saves in defeat.
Saskatoon went 1 for 4 on the power play while Swift Current failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
