Petr Mrazek makes 32 saves for Grand Rapids in 1-0 victory over Abbotsford

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Petr Mrazek made 32 saves for a shutout as the Grand Rapids Griffins edged the Abbotsford Heat 1-0 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Adam Almquist scored the lone goal for Grand Rapids (26-14-4) in the final minute of the first period.

After that the Griffins' offence died and the team relied on Mrazek to survive being outshot 13-4 and 13-6 in the second and third periods, respectively.

Danny Taylor meanwhile stopped 22 shots for the Heat (23-15-7).

Both teams went scoreless on four power-play opportunities apiece.

Quote of the Day

I think you always have to look internally before you look externally to see, 'Do we have these players within our organization?' And I think we do.

— Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Pierre Dorion on the Binghamton Senators (AHL affiliate)
