Skapski stops 23 shots as the Ice blank the Hurricanes

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Mackenzie Skapski stopped 23 shots as the Kootenay Ice blanked the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-0 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Levi Cable, Joey Leach and Brock Montgomery scored for the Ice (24-27-2), who won for the first time in three outings, while Jaedon Descheneau chipped in with two assists.

Ty Rimmer turned away 26-of-28 shots in a losing cause for the Hurricanes (24-23-8).

Kootenay went 2 for 3 on the power play while Lethbridge failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
