SAGINAW, Mich. - Andrew D'Agostini stopped 31 shots as the Peterborough Petes doubled up the host Saginaw Spirit 4-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Brandon Devlin, Jonatan Tanus, Josh Maguire and Derek Mathers scored for the Petes (16-27-7) while Greg Betzhold and Peter Ceresnak each chipped in with two assists.

Garret Ross and Jimmy Lodge scored for the Spirit (24-21-5), who lost for the first time in four outings, and Eric Locke had two assists.

Nikita Serebryakov made 27 saves in a losing cause.

Peterborough went 0 for 3 on the power play while Saginaw scored on its only chance with the man advantage.

Once again, it shows character in this dressing room. Once again, there's no quitting in here. We all wanted this so bad and we worked so hard to get home-ice advantage and we weren't going to let this one slide.
